Patient Name: Stephen O.
Diagnosis: Chronic Migraines
Type of Procedure: Omega Procedure

How was your experience with your patient coordinator?
He’s fantastic. I’ve texted him questions in the moment about my stimulator, and he’s super responsive. Has been pre- and post-surgery.

How was your experience with your doctor?
Phenomenal. He explained the procedure in-depth and operated per our plan. It did take several months, 5 to 6 months, of inflammation to heal and monthly adjustments before we got the stimulator working well, but he was great to work with.

What was your life like before surgery?
I had no life. Constantly medicated, and even then I was always in moderate nerve pain. Experienced migraine days more than half the month.

What is your life like now, after surgery?
I no longer take any pain killers, only Tylenol, in combination with the stimulator. I still have pain to manage and battle that with the stimulator and migraine medication, but my migraine days have been drastically reduced.
I can now exercise daily–running, lifting weights, etc.–that I haven’t been able to do in years.

What would you say to someone who is contemplating the Omega Procedure?
Be well-informed and don’t expect an overnight miracle. It’s a journey, not a destination, and sometimes it can take a few months to get right. But in the end, I would highly recommend it.
