Patient Name: Brandi C.
Diagnosis: Chronic Migraines
Type of Procedure: Omega Procedure
How was your experience with your Patient Care Manager?
She and all other staff went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything from the procedure and what to expect during recover, to providing excellent care and employment redemption through my FMLA.
How was your experience with your doctor?
He was so wonderful and caring not only an understanding that I hadn’t received with my neurologist but empathy and future hope.
What was your life like before surgery?
My FHM were so debilitating I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to care for my children let alone myself. I was experiencing optical, tension, cluster, and radiating migraines, N/V, vertigo, poor verbal and mental coherency/ collaboration.
What is your life like now, after surgery?
After only a week I saw 90% improvement, I can tweak the remote to offer different levels of relief to accommodate different migraines, and most importantly, take care of my family.
Now I’m not afraid to jump in the car for last minute errands, or worried about my kids always thinking I’m “sick”. My job is now more assured by my confidence with improved recovery by rarely showing symptoms. I can finally think clearly without feeling like I’m going crazy and that more people are understanding.
What would you say to someone who is contemplating the Omega Procedure?
I work on the Med/Surg floor of a hospital and I actually recommend this procedure to everyone (patient or not) that suffer from any similar symptoms. I explain in detain my personal story of suffer without any relief, years of multiple non-resulting treatments, to recovery and finally an answer to all my pain and depression from my experience.
