Jonathan D. Carlson, M.D.

Education:
Dr. Jonathan Carlson completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Carlson completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of California – Davis and a prestigious fellowship in pain management at Texas Tech University.

Dr. Carlson was trained by Dr. Gabor Racz, a pioneer in the field of Interventional Pain Management. Through Dr. Racz’s training, Dr. Carlson learned to think about pain management in a comprehensive way and to go above and beyond to help his patients.

Dr. Carlson is double board-certified in pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Relevant Experience:
Dr. Carlson uses a multi-modal, comprehensive approach to treating pain through minimally invasive procedures, physical therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, diet, research, and behavioral therapy. He currently serves as the chapter secretary of the Arizona Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

When he isn’t tending to his patients, Dr. Carlson enjoys traveling and has traveled extensively through Europe, South America, African and Asia. Raised in California and Hawaii, Dr. Carlson is an avid surfer and enjoys playing the guitar, mountain biking, hiking and golfing.
